The latter two can be conflicts of interest.<\/p><p>Many banks also close down closer accounts if you move overseas or at least stop you from adding new money.<\/p><\/div>\n                <\/div><div class=\"eael-accordion-list\">\n                <div id=\"10-what-are-your-typical-fees-on-average\" class=\"elementor-tab-title eael-accordion-header\" tabindex=\"0\" data-tab=\"10\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-22710\"><span class=\"eael-accordion-tab-title\">10. Where do most of your clients live and what do they do?<\/span><i aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fa-toggle fas fa-angle-right\"><\/i><\/div><div id=\"elementor-tab-content-22714\" class=\"eael-accordion-content clearfix\" data-tab=\"14\" aria-labelledby=\"14-where-do-most-of-your-clients-live-and-what-do-they-do\"><p>I have clients in more than 100 countries and 5 continents for a simple reason; I can be incredibly efficient online due to technology.<\/p><p>Clients come in all shapes and sizes; expats and locals and in different industries.<\/p><p>The majority of my clients are either expats, due to the cross-border nature of what I do, or locals who plan to become expats or want to avoid currency depreciation in their own countries.<\/p><p>The later point is pertinent for my clients based in Latin America, Africa and some parts of Asia.<\/p><\/div>\n                <\/div><div class=\"eael-accordion-list\">\n                <div id=\"15-do-you-have-client-recommendations\" class=\"elementor-tab-title eael-accordion-header\" tabindex=\"0\" data-tab=\"15\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-22715\"><span class=\"eael-accordion-tab-title\">15. My model gives the client access to platforms which don\u2019t restrict you to one specific fund house.<\/p><\/div>\n                <\/div><div class=\"eael-accordion-list\">\n                <div id=\"18-what-about-tax\" class=\"elementor-tab-title eael-accordion-header\" tabindex=\"0\" data-tab=\"18\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-22718\"><span class=\"eael-accordion-tab-title\">18. What about tax?<\/span><i aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fa-toggle fas fa-angle-right\"><\/i><\/div><div id=\"elementor-tab-content-22718\" class=\"eael-accordion-content clearfix\" data-tab=\"18\" aria-labelledby=\"18-what-about-tax\"><p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">We aren\u2019t tax advisors and can\u2019t foresee the future and how taxes will change. With specific product providers, we have partnered with some tax advisors who can help our clients with tax minimization &#8211; including inheritance tax planning.<\/p><p>In general, some people overthink tax, though.<\/p><p>This is because<\/p><ol class=\"ProsemirrorEditor-list\"><li class=\"ProsemirrorEditor-listItem\" data-list-indent=\"1\" data-list-type=\"bulleted\"><p>The tax rules could change in your country of tax residency when you sell your investment, and you can\u2019t always future-proof that.<\/p><\/li><li class=\"ProsemirrorEditor-listItem\" data-list-indent=\"1\" data-list-type=\"bulleted\"><p>Your country of tax residency might change in the future<\/p><\/li><li class=\"ProsemirrorEditor-listItem\" data-list-indent=\"1\" data-list-type=\"bulleted\"><p>In the vast majority of tax systems in the world, you are taxed when you make a gain and not when your account is going up<\/p><\/li><li class=\"ProsemirrorEditor-listItem\" data-list-indent=\"1\" data-list-type=\"bulleted\"><p>Neither you nor we can control what tax laws will be in the future . So, there is no point in worrying about something we can\u2019t control. It makes sense to carefully consider how to withdraw tax efficiently at the end of the account once the laws are known.<\/p><\/li><li class=\"ProsemirrorEditor-listItem\" data-list-indent=\"1\" data-list-type=\"bulleted\"><p>Capital gains is a good problem to have. Paying capital gains or dividend taxes due to a significant gain is better than getting a smaller increase and paying little tax!<\/p><\/li><\/ol><p>Most of our investment solutions are in 0% capital environments, which means neither we nor the investment provider charges you tax.<\/p><p>If you also live in a 0% capital gains environment (like in many Middle Eastern countries), or in a country which doesn\u2019t tax international income or overseas capital gains, that usually means you don\u2019t need to pay tax \u2013 but again we aren\u2019t a tax advisory service.<\/p><p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">With that being said, we do have strategic relationships with many tax advisors.<\/p><p>We are, therefore, sometimes able to pay for a few hours tax advice for new investment clients, depending on the nationality and location of the individual.<\/p><\/div>\n                <\/div><div class=\"eael-accordion-list\">\n                <div id=\"19-who-do-you-usually-reject-as-clients\" class=\"elementor-tab-title eael-accordion-header\" tabindex=\"0\" data-tab=\"19\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-22719\"><span class=\"eael-accordion-tab-title\">19. Do you offer FX, Bitcoin or Gold? We do, however, have an option with one provider where you can fund your investment with cryptocurrency.<\/p><p>We don\u2019t advise that gold should be a big part of your portfolio either.<\/p><p>On the lump sum accounts it is possible to buy Bitcoin ETFs and other cryptocurrencies, but buying is at your own risk.<\/p><p>I only have two clients in these ETFs. Both wanted it themselves, only hold a maximum of 5% of the portfolio in it and understand that it isn\u2019t my advice to get into it.<\/p><p>If you want to fund your investments with crypto, and then sell out to buy into the diversified portfolios I recommend, then it is possible on the lump sum accounts only.<\/p><\/div>\n                <\/div><div class=\"eael-accordion-list\">\n                <div id=\"21-what-are-the-biggest-mistakes-people-who-reach-out-to-you-make-and-which-platforms-do-you-use\" class=\"elementor-tab-title eael-accordion-header\" tabindex=\"0\" data-tab=\"21\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-22721\"><span class=\"eael-accordion-tab-title\">21. What are the biggest mistakes people who reach out to you make and which platforms do you use?<\/span><i aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fa-toggle fas fa-angle-right\"><\/i><\/div><div id=\"elementor-tab-content-22721\" class=\"eael-accordion-content clearfix\" data-tab=\"21\" aria-labelledby=\"21-what-are-the-biggest-mistakes-people-who-reach-out-to-you-make-and-which-platforms-do-you-use\"><p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">The biggest mistakes are usually:<\/p><p>1. Caring about irrelevant things.<\/p><p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">For instance, in terms of investment platforms, we deal with some that are regulated as banking or investment \u00a0platform companies and others that are insurers or offshore bonds (such as International Assurance, one of the many providers we use).<\/p><p>However, that makes no difference to the returns, as the same funds and ETFs are used. It is merely a regulation issue.<\/p><p>The vast majority of clients are put on A-rated platforms with little to no debt and are using the biggest third-party custodian banks in the world to hold client assets.<\/p><p>These custodians include BNY Mellon, the largest custodian bank in the world, with $43 trillion in assets under custody as of 2024, and JP Morgan, with $28.6 trillion.<\/p><p>It is pretty difficult for A-rated companies with no debt to go out of business, but even if they do, your money is sitting in segregated accounts with the largest custodian banks in the world.<\/p><p>What matters is my relationship with you and the underlying investment performance.<\/p><p>2. Reading too much into the third-party vehicles I suggest. The providers I suggest will naturally have some good and bad reviews.<\/p><p>That is because some advisory companies write negative and often outdated reviews on solutions for self-interested reasons.<\/p><p>Furthermore, the performance is down to the advisors who use the solution, so your millage will naturally vary.<\/p><p>Most of my client recommendations on LinkedIn are connected to the platforms I am suggesting, and most happy clients recommend the advisor and not the investment platform\/solution, so it is a mistake to read too much into online reviews.<\/p><p>Ultimately, I am the driver of the vehicle. A good driver can get you from A to B in a Bentley or the cheapest car on the road.<\/p><p>Accidents are usually caused by the driver, and not the machine.<\/p><p>So, negative online reviews for solutions are usually the result of bad drivers (bad advisors) or have just been written for self-interested reasons.<\/p><\/div>\n                <\/div><div class=\"eael-accordion-list\">\n                <div id=\"22-do-you-have-example-fact-sheetsinvestments\" class=\"elementor-tab-title eael-accordion-header\" tabindex=\"0\" data-tab=\"22\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-22722\"><span class=\"eael-accordion-tab-title\">22. Do you have example fact sheets\/investments?<\/span><i aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fa-toggle fas fa-angle-right\"><\/i><\/div><div id=\"elementor-tab-content-22722\" class=\"eael-accordion-content clearfix\" data-tab=\"22\" aria-labelledby=\"22-do-you-have-example-fact-sheetsinvestments\"><p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">Each investment opportunity is tailored to the individual investor once your account is funded, so I can\u2019t give out whole portfolios here.<\/p><p>However, we do have access to almost any regulated investment fund and ETF.<\/p><p>I can also give investors access to professional funds, which are usually reserved for ultra-high-net-worth investors.<\/p><\/div>\n                <\/div><div class=\"eael-accordion-list\">\n                <div id=\"23-how-are-most-of-the-funds-regulated\" class=\"elementor-tab-title eael-accordion-header\" tabindex=\"0\" data-tab=\"23\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-22723\"><span class=\"eael-accordion-tab-title\">23. How are most of the funds regulated?<\/span><i aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fa-toggle fas fa-angle-right\"><\/i><\/div><div id=\"elementor-tab-content-22723\" class=\"eael-accordion-content clearfix\" data-tab=\"23\" aria-labelledby=\"23-how-are-most-of-the-funds-regulated\"><p>Most funds and ETFs follow a UCITS structure \u2013 a European regulated structure. This is considered the gold standard of fund regulation, and can be bought on most platforms even if they are domiciled outside the EU.<\/p><\/div>\n                <\/div><div class=\"eael-accordion-list\">\n                <div id=\"24-can-you-make-your-own-investment-decisions\" class=\"elementor-tab-title eael-accordion-header\" tabindex=\"0\" data-tab=\"24\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-22724\"><span class=\"eael-accordion-tab-title\">24.
