Because of long-term leasing deals and high occupancy rates, there are some positives about the assisted living sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, investments like this always have risks, due to aspects such as liquidity and being in a specific niche sector of the property market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All the investments are also in the UK. Therefore, they aren’t geographically diversified. You might also face currency risks as an expat if you are investing in specific currencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Changes like new government regulations can always positively or negatively impact on investments in this sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expats living overseas should carefully consider any investment relative to the alternatives, to ensure that the risk-adjusted returns are worth it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
