I have previously spoken about which books I recommend<\/a>.   However, which books does Warren Buffett suggest investors should read?<\/p>\n

1. The Intelligent Investor, <\/a><\/i>by Benjamin Graham<\/b><\/p>\n

In the book, Graham gives examples of value and defensive investing, as well as how to cope with market volatility.<\/p>\n

2. Security Analysis<\/a><\/i>, by Benjamin Graham and David Dodd<\/b><\/p>\n

This book is slightly more difficult than the intelligent investor. In this book Graham speaks about intrinsic value, and valuation methods.<\/p>\n

3. Business Adventures: Twelve Classic Tales From the World of Wall Street, <\/i>by John Brooks<\/b><\/p>\n

One of the favorite books of both Buffett and Bill Gates, this book is more like numerous business stories.  It does have a section where wealthy investors in the 1960s are panicking about a stock market crash from 600 to 400…..the Dow was trading at 26,800 last year.<\/p>\n

4.<\/i><\/b>Paths to Wealth Through Common Stocks<\/i>, by Phillip Fisher<\/b><\/p>\n

Buffett said that Fisher’s books “were terrific books, and as with Ben Graham, you can get it all just by reading the books.” <\/i><\/p>\n

5. The Outsiders<\/a><\/i>, by William Thorndike Jr.<\/b><\/p>\n
