  • Cash Value: It accrues guaranteed cash value and can come with a terminal bonus contingent on the success of the investments.
  • Premium Payments: Provides premium payments with the same flexibility as ManuPremier.
  • Other Features: Permits the terminal bonus to be partially locked in after a certain duration. There are options for protecting against serious illnesses and accidents.

Universal Life

  • Coverage: Provides configurable premiums and death benefits for a lifetime of coverage.
  • Cash Value: Based on interest rates set by Manulife, cash value is accumulated; policyholders can control growth via premiums paid and investment selections.
  • Premium Payments: Premium payments are quite flexible; they can be changed to accommodate higher contributions or smaller payments.
  • Additional Feature: Manulife offers policyholders a range of options for how to invest their cash value.

ManuTerm

  • Insurance Type: Term Life
  • Coverage: Offers protection without building up cash value for a set time frame.
  • Death Benefit: Only pays out if the insured person dies while the policy is in effect.
  • Premium Payments: Fixed premiums for the length of the policy, typically at a cheaper cost than whole life insurance.
  • Additional Feature: The primary objective is to provide affordable temporary coverage, with no accumulation of financial value.

Voluntary Health Insurance Scheme

With public medical facilities under growing strain, Manulife’s strategy attempts to meet Hong Kong’s expanding need for healthcare services.

The Standard Plan and the Flexi Plan are the two certified plans offered by the company under the VHIS.

In order to cut down on waiting times for surgeries and consultations, VHIS policyholders can receive care in private hospitals.

The yearly tax break for VHIS premiums is limited to 8,000 Hong Kong dollars per covered individual, although the number of dependents that qualify for this deduction is not restricted.

Manulife Supreme VHIS Flexi Plan

Manulife Supreme Lite VHIS Supplementary Benefit

Outpatient services will be covered right away after the policy starts.

Manulife First VHIS Flexi Plan

This all-inclusive coverage for critical illnesses includes up to 123 illnesses, like cancer, heart attacks, and stroke.

Provides funding for out-of-country or unconventional late-stage cancer treatments.

After a significant claim or ICU benefit is paid, there are no more premiums to pay.

ManuPrimo Care / ManuPrimo Care (BestStart)

Manulife Hong Kong insurance

This is intended for families, with an emphasis on the health of children in particular. Early childhood coverage is emphasized in the BestStart variation.

Offers benefits to parents and covers ailments specific to children.

CareGuard Critical Illness Benefit

By including critical illness benefits, this solution improves on current insurance and may be tailored to match specific needs.

100,000 HKD or 12,500 USD is the minimum protection amount given.

ManuBright Care 2

You continue to have additional protection against cancer, heart attack, and stroke under the plan, even following a big critical illness claim.

ManuBright Care 2 Plus

Child Care Benefit

This supplementary benefit offers complete coverage for children who are 18 years old or younger, until they are 25.

It provides lump sum payments with a minimum protection amount of 10,000 USD/pounds, 12,000 CAD, or 80,000 HKD.

Cancer Guard Protection Benefit

This is a critical illness insurance policy with a lump sum payout specifically for cancer patients. After the first year of coverage, if the premium is paid, it can be renewed yearly until the covered individual becomes 100.

The protection sum ranges from 100,000 HKD or 12,500 USD to 8 million HKD or 1 million USD.

ManuGuard Medical Plan

This indemnity hospital insurance scheme is intended to pay for various medical costs related to hospital stays and surgeries.

ManuGuard Medical Benefit

It is intended to supplement the coverage that standard health insurance packages for customers who are not from Hong Kong or Macau offer. 

ManuMaster Healthcare Series/Benefit

ManuMaster is a hospital insurance policy with indemnity intended for clients in need of medical coverage. It offers three options: Classic, Premier, and Elite.

You can choose the yearly deductible amount that best fits your needs from 8,000HKD/1,000USD, 22,800HKD/2,850USD, or nothing.

Premiums will be cheaper if you choose a larger deductible.

ManuShine Healthcare Series/Benefit

This is an indemnity hospital insurance offering for non-Hong Kong residents.

The deductibles are the same as Manumaster. Available in Class, Premier, and Elite variants as well.

ManuEnrich Medical Top-up Plan

Regardless of whether the life insured is covered by a Manulife plan or not, this is a basic plan meant to augment their current coverage.

The plan offers hospital benefits with an annual cap of 1 million HKD.

Manulife Supreme Medical Plan

This plan offers complete coverage for major medical bills up to 12 million HKD every policy year, albeit it is only accessible in Macau.

Your premium will automatically be reduced by up to 16% as a health discount if you haven’t filed a claim for at least two years in a row.

Manulife Supreme Lite Medical Supplementary Benefit

With benefits worth up to 12 million HKD or 1.5 million USD each policy year, this plan is intended to cover hospitalization on top of the authorized basic plan.

Cancer Treatment Benefit

 This is a low-cost indemnity medical insurance plan with a specific focus on cancer. It serves as a supplementary benefit.

Hospital Income Benefit

Financial assistance during stays in hospitals is the purpose of this supplemental insurance coverage.

With options that range from 200 HKD to 2,000 HKD, policyholders can receive a daily cash payout for a maximum of 1,000 days if they choose.

Outpatient Benefit

It’s an add-on insurance plan that covers outpatient medical costs, which is intended to improve current health plans.    

Premium Waiver Benefit and Payor Benefit

When an individual becomes totally disabled, Manulife’s Premium Waiving Benefits are intended to lessen the financial strain of paying. A monthly ceiling of 30,000 HKD, or 3,750 USD, may be waived.

Policyholders who have a child insured are covered by the Payor Benefit.

If the payor becomes completely handicapped or dies, there are no further premiums to pay.

Disability Income Protector

It is intended to offer financial assistance to people who suffer from long-term disabilities brought on by diseases, injuries, or mental illnesses and are unable to work.

The monthly payout is raised by 25% should the insured be declared as gravely disabled.
